CORNING LITTLE LEAGUE PHILOSOPHY
Corning Little League was first chartered in 1950. In 1979 Corning Little League branched out to form individual charters for the National and American Leagues. In 2001 Corning National and Corning American Little Leagues merged and formed Corning Little League. The new Corning Little League adopted the objective established in 1979 by the former Corning National League as follows:
“The objective of the Corning Little League shall be to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideas of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.”
We still embrace this philosophy and strive to follow in the footsteps of the dedicated men and women who, in 1950, brought Little League Baseball to Corning , New York .
